Today is my 49th birthday, and I am deeply grateful to God for how far He has brought me.
Iâve been through a lot in my body.
Iâve been through a lot emotionally.
And while I am still healing, God has been positioning me to serve others in their healing too.
This year started off really rough with a lupus flare that greatly affected my knees, my walking, and caused excruciating pain. Healing required physical therapy, patience, and surrender. It has been both physical and emotionalâand it is still ongoing.
Yet this same year was also filled with love, growth, obedience, and unexpected doors opening.
This year, I celebrated:
- 16 years of marriage
- My daughterâs elevationâher martial arts achievements, middle school graduation, and prom
- Watching my husband carry a flag for Fordham University as he earned his MSW
- Publishing my first book, very unexpectedly
- Being privileged to appear on several podcasts and speak on grief, healing, and purpose
- Launching my own podcast, UnStuck Worldwide Café
- Hosting my own B.O.O.M. event â Break. Obliterate. Overcome. Your Mountains.âin the midst of my own healing
Walking alongside others in their pain has inspired me to continue listening, learning, and trusting God through my own healing journey.
After decades of prayer, fasting, and intercession, I am beginning to see the early manifestation of what God has been preparing all along. It is rewarding. It is humbling. And it is sacred.
To God be the glory.
I owe it all to Him.
And I will give my last breath giving Him the praise.
